CFThursday session on ‘Social Media Forensics’ with Nilay Mistry (1-Hour)

About the speaker:

Nilay Mistry is the first faculty of Digital Forensics and Cyber Security at World’s First of Its Kind, National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar Campus, Gujarat, Government of India formerly known as Gujarat Forensic Sciences University. He is also the coordinator at the Center For Futuristic Defense Studies. He is GATE qualified faculty and completed his M.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering from Nirma University, B.E. in Computer Engineering from Gujarat University. He actively participates in various research projects related to Cyber Forensics at the Directorate of Forensic Science, Gandhinagar. He is actively involved in training on Cybercrime and Investigations to BPR&D, Bangladesh Police, Myanmar Police, Nepal Police, Defense Wings, Law Enforcement Agencies, Railway Protection Force, etc. He is also assisting in the investigation of various cyber crimes to various National and International Law Enforcement Agencies. He has also given in-depth training on various technical challenges in crime investigation to National and International personnel. He is ISO 27001:2013 certified ISMS Lead Auditor. His areas of interest are storage media forensics, smartphone forensics, Open-source Intelligence (OSINT), Live Forensics, Investigation and interpretation, Malware Forensic, Network Forensic, Multimedia Forensic, security audit, Capacity Building, Skill Development, R & D and Training & hands-on with various range of topics related to Cyber Security and Digital Forensics. He is also the adviser for one of its kind Cyber Range – Cyber Defence Center at National Forensic Sciences University. He is also a member of the high power committee on Examiner of Electronic Evidence under Section 79A of IT Act 2000. He is also participating as a guest member at the Scientific Working Group on Digital Evidences (SWGDE).
