CFThursday session on ‘Examining Malicious Software and it’s Analysis’ with Shrutirupa Banerjiee (1-Hour)

April 21 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm IST

One of the most talked-about programs, CyberFrat Thursday allows us to present weekly opportunities to our members to learn from guest speakers over engaging webinars. The topics of discussion range from emerging technologies, cybersecurity trends, and risk management to several developmental elements such as grooming, motivation, resume writing, interview tips, and general soft skills. This Thursday we will have a session on ‘Examining Malicious Software and it’s Analysis’ with Shrutirupa Banerjiee.

Synopsis of the topic – Attacking a big enterprise takes a lot of time and planning, and hackers do it so efficiently that it sometimes becomes challenging for the enterprises to cope with it. Most of the infamous attacks that a group of hackers target are malware-based. Its intent is primarily a specific enterprise or group of users to destroy or leak their data.

In this session, we will learn about Malware and some common ways of identifying and analyzing them as superficially as possible. From comprehending some malicious documents to some well-known malware such as ransomware, we will understand their behaviour and tricks to identify them. We will be following a non-technical and layman approach towards examining malicious software. This session is for anyone who wants to understand the basics of Malware analysis and is willing to learn something new.
